res·o·nance

a STEAM exhibition based in auckland, nz

res·o·nance is a planned STEAM exhibition (think of it as a STEM Art gallery) based in Auckland, New Zealand with one main goal:
to bring back the 'A' in STEAM. Started in early 2025 and backed by Blackbird Foundation through the Protostars Programme, the exhibition aims to showcase at least 5 different works demonstrating different science concepts and technologies through an artistic lens. Led by Sophia Schulz, planned installations include an interactive, proximity-controlled LED display and an organically generated soundscape, allowing visitors to experience intangible concepts in tangible ways, rooted in physical experiences and engaging many senses. The exhibition will also serve as an educational tool, not only teaching visitors about different technologies and science concepts through interactive learning, but also by demonstrating the intersection between STEM and Art and inspiring people to engage with both in their everyday lives.
